Anmarie Bowler is a writer, short story evangelist, and editor of Brevity, The Isle of Wight’s literary handbill, a lit zine supported by Arts Council England and Creative Island. Brevity publishes six times a year, offering feedback, guidance, and workshops for writers interested in creating quality flash fiction.

 

Anmarie’s most recent work, Sandown Tarot Card Stories, is on exhibit at Boojum&Snark on Sandown High Street. Short fiction and illustration combine to frame discussions around the future of seaside town renewal in this unique example of creative placemaking.

 

In January, Anmarie joined a company of theatre professionals keen to adapt her series of short stories entitled Keeper for the stage.

 

An excerpt from this exciting work-in-progress debuted at the Cowes Fringe this year and appeared at a scratch night at The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton last month.
