Helen McGinn is the resident wine expert on BBC1's Saturday Kitchen and ITV's This Morning, and is much loved across the nation for helping viewers navigate the wine aisles, find the perfect bottle for any occasion, and spot the best bargains. Her love affair with wine began at her university wine society, before she launched her career on the graduate scheme of a major UK supermarket — leading to many happy years travelling the world as a supermarket wine buyer, studying wine, and visiting countless vineyards and winemakers.
Helen is now an international wine judge and drinks writer for Waitrose Food Magazine, and has appeared on television shows including Celebrity Mastermind, Celebrity Weakest Link, and Between the Covers. She is the writer behind the award-winning blog "The Knackered Mother's Wine Club," for which she has won Fortnum & Mason's Online Drink Writer of the Year and Red Magazine's Best Blogger award.
