LARRY LAMB
Larry Lamb is a British actor, author, and radio presenter whose career has spanned several decades. His work in theatre ranges from Broadway and West End productions to appearances at the RSC, the National Theatre, and London's principal fringe venues.
Before acting, Larry worked as a lorry driver and had a globe-trotting career in the oil and energy industries; he made his professional stage debut in Canada in his late twenties, and within twenty months found himself on Broadway. His screen work spans decades of beloved British television, from A Touch of Frost and Silent Witness to Spooks and Casualty, alongside films including Superman and Buster. He is best known to UK audiences for his roles as villainous Archie Mitchell in the BBC soap opera EastEnders and much-loved dad Mick Shipman in the multi-award-winning Gavin & Stacey.
Larry published his memoir, Mummy's Boy, in 2011, and his debut novel, All Wrapped Up, in 2025. He is currently working on a collection of his poetry, due for publication in 2027.
