Nicola J Watson holds a chair in English Literature at The Open University and has published extensively on the history of place-writing, literary tourism, literary museums and literary geographies, most recently The Author’s Effects: On the Writer’s House Museum (2020). She spent much of her youth in Lymington, sailing on the Solent.
