Running on Air: From BBC Headlines to Life-Changing Finish Lines
Warm, honest and deeply inspiring, Running on Air tells the remarkable story of how Sophie Raworth discovered running in her forties and unexpectedly transformed her life. After a disastrous first London Marathon in 2011, Sophie persevered and went on to complete all seven World Marathon Majors, alongside more than twenty marathons and numerous ultra-marathons, including the gruelling Marathon des Sables across the Sahara. Blending personal reflection with stories of resilience, friendship and determination, the book explores how running helped Sophie navigate both the pressures of life in the public eye and personal challenges away from the newsroom. Uplifting and motivational, Running on Air is a powerful reminder that it is never too late to discover new strength and purpose.
