YSENDA MAXTONE GRAHAM
Ysenda Maxtone Graham is the author of nine books,
including the bestselling Terms & Conditions: Life in Girls’
Boarding Schools, 1939-1979, and British Summer
Time Begins. Her biography of her grandmother,
The Real Mrs Miniver, was shortlisted for the Whitbread Award.
She writes and reviews for The Spectator, The Times, the Daily Mail, the Mail on Sunday, the Times Literary Supplement and the London Review of Books.
Her Christmas book Screams: Shrieks of Horror and Yelps of Pleasure from Modern Life came out in 2024. Her debut novella, Love Divine, will be published on 1 November by Slightly Foxed.
She lives in London.
Ysenda will be speaking as part of a panel on Jane Austen alongside Allison Pearson and Amanda Craig.
